Blaserbuds; the worlds superlative information source, for these products

Can anyone in the US report on their experience ordering from Optics Trade in Slovenia? They have hard to find mounts for Blasers at pretty good prices. I put together a $700 order and UPS shipping was $35. I haven't placed the order yet because I'd like to hear from others who have already ordered from them. Below is a link to their site:

Can't vouch for US experience, but have ordered a number of things from them sent to Australia. Did have one order for an item that did not quite fit my scope, so sent it back and they sent me the correct one. Will use them again.

Not in the US, but I buy my Blaser and Mauser mounts and most optics from them. Have not been able to fault the service at all. It does pay however to keep an eye on their pricing for big ticket items. On a Zeiss Victory they were about 10% dearer than I could buy in Australia. But if I order a Blaser or Mauser M03 mount it will arrive here in about a week. As opposed to 6-9 months ordering through my closest dealer.

Agreed. Have ordered both Blaser and Mauser M03 mounts from then as well without issue.

Good to know fellas, re: Aussie orders.

Haven't had the courage to order a scope yet out of fear customs would try and slap import tax on it. All my orders have been < $1K in value.

Interested to hear of anyone has recently with the latest tax legislative changes in Australia.

I brought over (from Optics Trade) a Zeiss conquest a little while ago. The customs man grabbed me straight away for the GST (Scope was around $2k). I haven't seen any changes yet and I'm not sure how it works to be honest. I get a lot stuff from the US on ebay though and no changes yet that I can see.

I bought a Zeiss 3-12X56 HT from them and had it mailed to the US. Good service, no import tax.

Wow. That appears to be a good optics site....

Again, no US experience, but bought a hard to find Aimpoint/Sako mount from them for a fraction of the cost of it's advertised (But not in stock/available) price here.

Good experience here. Faster shipping from Slovenia than Australia post can manage from Sydney .

I should also note that I know the owner Teodor Štimec, I went on a trip with him to Croatia. He seems to be a good guy.

They have some good prices, especially on IOR optics. Here in the states IOR is marked up by about 30% by the only importer, so I was very interested in ordering one from them.

Too bad though- they have a policy about not being able to ship a scope of more than 9x magnification outside of the EU? Strangest regulation I have ever heard of- but that's what they said to me. Not sure if this is just to the USA??

They have some decent videos on youtube showing the scope and it's features, etc.

They also like to essentially backorder any scope, because most of the time it isn't in stock. They claim "1 month or more" for those items.
