Hi guys

My name is Louis van Bergen I am owner and operator of Spiral horn Safaris and was introduced to the site by a member.

I own a 300 weatherby Sauer myself and enjoy hunting with it a lot.

Hope to meet a lot of people and talk about some good calibers as well as have some discussions about Africa.

Thank all of you for the opportunity to join the forum.

Best Regards
Louis van Bergen

Welcome aboard, great to have you here. Good choice in rifles too! Being that I have a 300 Wby in a Colt Sauer... Had several in the 202s also over the years. Great rifles!

Some here have been to Africa, for most of us I assume anyway that it's still a dream. So we'll be looking forward to learning about your hunting paradise.

I learned a long time ago that if it comes to loaning out my rifle or my girlfriend that it'll be her that gets loaned out! She'll come back fine, not necessarily that for the rifle! I bought a Sako A7 that I use for a 'loaner' if somebody needs to borrow something. Still a good rifle but not one of my 'babies'.

Looking forward to your hunt stories and hopefully some pics. Have to agree with you on those Elk, truly a majestic animal. Have never killed one but maybe someday I'll take one. I just really prefer looking at them.....
