Got this emailed to me last night. It's the speech Ronald Reagan gave in 1964. When you listen to what he says and compare it to what is happening in the USA today it gives you pause. We could surely use another Ronnie right now! He'll always be the greatest president as far as I'm concerned. He inspired you to look ahead and to get off your ass and make something of yourself. And to be proud of your country, not embarrassed or ashamed like the village idiot we now have.

It's rather long but makes some very good points that are sadly truer today than they were when he said them 46 years ago.

Unfortunately this is the way the world is going and to get the votes they need to say sorry for everything. It’s the same with Rudd out here.

Thing is though you can't continue to borrow like there's no tomorrow without there being serious consequences. It's just a matter of time before this country goes belly up because of debt. It's happened other places and on the verge of happening in several European countries already. The Socialist system has to fail, there is no way it can survive for very long.
