Well I've hit a snag, I was in the shop on Monday, had my card out and I was keen to pay for one, they wanted a final price from OSA 1st, even phoned em but had to email it.
No reply yet, they say a 3g6month wait but I thought that was for a barrel not a quote for one.

No way on this earth, at this time, (or maybe any time) will you see a K95 barrel in Aus. within 6 months of ordering it.

Yes, I thought it was a bit optimistic of them

But you would think it wouldn't take a week to email a shop back with a price on one, that's just bad business for someone that was willing to pay full price on the spot for one.

Hi
Graeme from Brisbane here.
K95 7x65R
Unforgivably I can't remember the details/name of the version I ordered but it has a straight stock, octagonal barrel with open sights, ebony forend tip, red stag on one side of action and chamois on the other, my initials on the grip cap. Scope is a Kahles 3-9x.
Had this rifle since 2005 and have shot my share of wee beasties with it.
Seriously thinking about another barrel in one of the .224 cals for Fallow deer.......the 7mm is a bit destructive :D
Cheers,
GG

Sounds like a Luxus with American Stock. This is mine.

Yours has much nicer wood than mine and mine has horrible skip line checkering and a black trigger but other than that it looks the same as yours.

Interesting how Blaser have messed out around with the various inclusions over the years, presumably to fill different market niches.

The Luxus rifle has not had an octagonal barrel for many years, and Luxus wood grade has been pulled back to G4, although IIRC octagonal barrel is still standard on the Luxus Stutzen. At least the figured side plates have remained a constant. Perhaps when Bob and Graeme's Luxus' were made, the Attache may not have been offered, and perhaps the introduction of the Attache (G7 Octagonal barrel) led to the down speccing of the Luxus ? Who knows ?

Nice rifles whatever, but it does make identifying second hand offerings hard. If anyone ever sells their K95 that is :D

Well it took 9 months give or take a few days, but I just got the call from my local that my hornet barrel finally arrived. 🍻
Still won't get home to pick it up till next week, but it's here and that's all that matters. 👍

At least you got an estimate, the best I could get it's been ordered. 😂
Although I might find a higher magnification scope for spotlighting with it.
I just don't want a big heavy scope, although a 14x-16x on the high end would be great for some bunny sniping action.

Although the 2nd regular forend I bought for it will probably be in that shipment, I ordered a month after I ordered the barrel.
