Hornady has teased this since March, but official today.

6mm ARC a shortened Grendel case so base of bullet does not have to be shoved past Case neck junction. Optimised for ARs, but as we all know, little short, low recoil bolt actions are fun as hell.

I saw the announcement on the Hornady Instagram feed this morning. Thought it looked like a 6PPC, but was hard to tell on my phone. So if its a "shortened Grendel case" then I imagine its going to shoot very accurately, or at lease as accurately as the "weapon system" that most of them will be shot out of is capable of acheiving.

I love the 6.5 grendel, the 6ARC should be even better.

How cool would this thing be as a small game/small deer tool in a little CZ ??? :D :D :D :D :D

Going to make it very hard to avoid acquiring another calibre.

I've been shooting the ARC for about a year now with Starline brass and 75gr Speer HPs and it has been great on desert coyotes. Howa Mini and Athlon 2-12x40. It's an easy round to work with, I never fired a factory loaded shell out of it though.
