New scope - Kahles 318i

New scope day.

Picked up a second hand (new in box - never used) Kahles 318i.

Was planning on getting the ATACR 4-16X42 as i get a good MIL discount on those new, but this was a cracking price and on inspection, was actually new. The glass is some of the best I have seen (as you would expect from Swaro glass and better than NF).

Ultrashort's look the goods on the Blaser i think. The FFP MSR-K reticle is actually useable for lowlight and close hunting work which was what tipped me over the line. A good balance between a range and hunting scope for what I do.

Its acceptable and very repeatable though a stock pack wouldn't hurt. I don't have one at the moment but its on my radar to get one one day.

Nah another bloke in Melbourne VIC who had purchased it and an AI to start doing PRS (having never shot before). It sat in his cupboard for over a year before he concluded he wasn’t actually interested in it. If wasn’t in so deep with Blaser I would have bought his AI too.
