Beef jerky a la Olsen

When I was in Africa, I loved the Biltong they had, and I like Beef Jerky, so why not make it home
Bought a dehydrator and first try was a huge success, its great
Next portion is already in marinade

Looks good. I cut mine too thin initially. Now I cut it as thick about 2cm.

I make mine in the oven, you hang strip's on the racks, set the oven on the minimum heat and leave the door wedged open about an inch.
Jerky isn't just a good snack it's handy to cook with if you want to make a meal out hunting, bit of rice or pasta, dried veggies and flavouring your choice and your set.

I like biltong more than American jerky. I do not like the sugar in most American jerky

Looks awesome Olsen.

I make Sambar Jerky all the time now. I tell none hunters its beef and hunters is sambar. Dose not last long at all.
