Hi everyone.
I've just joined the forum and looking forward to the discussions and learning more about Sauers and Blasers.
I'm a very keen public land deer hunter, mostly chasing fallow deer in the State Forests of South Eastern New South Wales, but also enjoying stalking up sambar deer when the opportunity arises. Our fridge is always stocked with venison for family, friends and workmates (a little "venison diplomacy" never goes astray) and very much enjoy all aspects of adventuring outdoors. "Happiness" to me is a vehicle full of camping and hunting gear heading off for an adventure, with the city fading away in the rear vision mirror.
I find my Sauer 404 (in 7mm Rem Mag as an afternoon sit and wait gun) and Sauer 202 (in 308 as a general stalking rifle) things of beauty and a pleasure to carry in the field. I'm tempted to add a Blaser to the gun safe, so hope to learn more about them. I spent some time in Bavaria last year and enjoyed seeing the strong local hunting culture, so very happy to adopt their fine Sauer and Blaser rifles.
I'm well and truly bitten by the hunting bug and great to join a group of like minded people.
Cheers
Paul
