No big deal, but has been wondering how to pronounce the "A" in "Swift A-frame". Do you say it like the "A" in "a bullet" or like the "A" when spelling (A-B-C.... etc)? I hope you can understand what I mean....
I have been saying like the later, but many around me use the first variant. As I said, no big deal, just interesting to know. I hope......

Like the alphabet.....A,B,C.....long A sound.

You must be using them for Moose?

Ploika, I'm pretty sure it's the long A, as in words like say, may, way, etc. A Frame housing construction is the roof is very steep and goes to the ground, just like the letter A. Not sure how that relates to Swift, but they do call it an A Frame

Different languages either use the long A or short A in the alphabet, I'm not sure what you use up North there, but if similar to other European languages it would sound like "Ahh" to an American, but Engish would say "Ayyy", as in Ay-Fraym. Hope this makes sense, it sounds like how Germans would pronounce the letter E in the alphabet, which sounds like an A!

I assume, without any other reason than my own opinion, that it's called A-frame because the bullet looks a little like an A in profile. But I might be very wrong.

And yes, the A-frame is a popular bullet in Sweden for both moose and bear. I haven't tried them yet, but will probably see what they can do in the Reb next year. Haven't shot any moose this year, have been close but......

Yes, different languages sets their color in english. I work in the car test industry here in north Sweden, so I meet germans frequently and know how "strange" sounds they can make...
Some sounds seems to be almost impossible to pronounce: "the" becomes "ze", "v" becomes "f" and "w" becomes "v". "Ve haf to do like zis viz zis car".
But to be fair, some are really good in english, mostly because they have worked in the US where they have another test station.
And most technicians are better in english than I am in german......
I hope I hasn't made me persona non grata in Germany now.......

How well have Saabs performed in your testing?

It's called an A-frame because when cut in section the bonded core is seperated and it looks like an A when on end.

I used them on a pile of critters in Africa and they did text book expansion in all that were recovered.

They develope a bulge behind the front petals to support them just like the pics in the ads. Good stuff IMO

On the other hand a fellow testdriver swears by SAAB as the greatest driver's cars ever, so obviously the taste differs......
And the new SAAB 9-5 has got good reviews in the magazines, so we will see how the buyers respond to it.

In my opinion they are pretty equal regarding performance, quality and comfort. Not so strange, regarding they're both german and fierce competitors about the same buyers. The bottom line of which to choose will be: choose the one you prefer......
I wouldn't buy an Audi, not because they are bad, but I've seen their interior too much and I don't want to sit in the car wondering if I'm at work or not.
I wouldn't buy a VW either, but of other reasons.
