The night before Christmas

Post by Corjack »

Twas the night before Christmas, and in Corjacks house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

His Blasers were stacked in the gunsafe with care

In hopes that Bernhard Knobel soon would be there.

Little Sophie was nestled all snug in her bed,

While visions of t-bone steaks danced in her head.

I loaded my HK P7 with a full single stack,

Placed it on my nightstand in case of a zombie attack.

When out in the yard there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the front door I flew like a flash,

Tripped over a stack of reloading equipment, and nearly fell on my ass.

The wind was quite gusty, and the trees waved to and fro

Some one was coming, that much I know

When, what to my wide open eyes should appear,

Why it was my friend Werner Reb, with a few liters of beer

He had an old R93 with an action so slick,It cycled so fast you heard barely a click.

I wondered why at this time of night, that he came to see me,

Probably to carry on about the virtues of the 8,5X63

He stepped on to my porch, and he gave me a wink

"just stopped by, so we could BS, and drink"

We sat and chatted, and drank a few beers

Talked of Olsens cut offs, and how they looked slightly queer

When all of a sudden, a noise came from the roof,

Sophie was startled, she went, "woof, woof, woof!"

We ran out in the yard, and we then looked way up high.

And the sight on the roof nearly made me cry.

Why it was Bernhard, Norbert, Rich, Kevin Wistner, and Frank.

But my joy was short lived, and my heart slowly sank

As I noticed a large fellow named Thorsten Mann

I yelled "You folks better get down as fast as you can!"

And I then heard a squeal and a loud creak

The roof started sagging, up near the peak

These nice folks came to surprise me, But had not been told,

That in Booger county, we do not adhere to proper building code!

I guess Christmas is a time to ponder the meaning

Of several people you know, falling through your ceiling!

A little Christmas Blaser, Mauser and Sauer humor.

I will tweak on it a little more the next few days.
