Re: Kipplauf hunting
Well done!!
"That if you properly respect what you are after, and shoot it cleanly and on the animal’s terrain, if you imprison in your mind all the wonder of the day from sky to smell to breeze to flowers—then you have not merely killed an animal. You have lent immortality to a beast you have killed because you loved him and wanted him forever so that you could always recapture the day." —R.Ruark

Re: Kipplauf hunting
We moved camp for the last day of my hunt overlooking a salmon stream hoping to get a bear. We didn’t see a bear but we did see 5 wolves that kept circling us and howling. They all kept their distance except one tried to sneak in on us and I shot it from about 120 yards again with the 9.3x74R. It was a big wolf.

I also caught some salmon, but I will have to go back for the bear.

Thanks guys.
Here are more....some may have been posted elsewhere on BB, but they all have a Kipplauf involved.
Full load of Sambar halfway up the never ending hill heading back to camp.
2x fallow broken down for a short pack out.
Iron sight hunt on a private land (NSW)

Thanks.
A very cheap one, Alpen 15-45x60...it's a bit crap and was relegated to range use after I got a set of Swaro 15's.What spotting scope you using ?
