New K95's

Post by jamesc »

Im in the process or trying to decide on a new K95 or K5, I've noticed the new K95 has had receiver changes where the stock mounts around the trigger guard, they are also advertising it now comes with a straight stock and no left hand option. Has anyone see one of the new stocks yet. Im not sure if its the same one as on the website with the new receiver as its shows a straight stock with a Bavarian double rabbet cheek piece.

The more traditionally styled K95 is still catalogued in an escalating range of grades.

I haven't seen the new one in the flesh, but looking at the various pics, I much prefer the aesthetics of the traditional stock and receiver.

The older style stock is fine for use with a scope BTW.

Im sure there is not one in Australia, i've been trying to get pricing for once since the agency changed and its just a headache, i'm starting to lean towards the K5 cause at least i have a price for one....
Im surprised when it comes to wanting to drop 10k on a rifle that the suppliers arn't falling over themselves to make a sale.

It all depends, if they are available now, then they will be hear in the next couple of years.
That seems to be the way it goes.

The worst thing about Blaser firearms is actually trying to buy one in Australia. I know that with the old Australian importer I had real problems trying to get Blaser, Rigby and Mauser prices from them.........and believe it or not even when I phoned to buy a Rigby and on another occasion telling them on the phone that I wanted to buy an F16 (now/today:immediately) they couldn’t give me a price or even fornicating phone me back.
Anyway...it was fucked....but from what I see on here if you knew them and walked in the service was great.

Anyway time will tell how the new agent goes.

For anyone wanting an idea on price for a K95 have a look at the BZ Blaser site. Link below

https://www.blaser.co.nz/collections/k95-rifles

I selected the AUD$ option.

Cheers

Got a reply back from blaser , the K95s defiantly have a left hand option still and there is a cheekpiece on the straight stock, both straight and hogsback have a cheek piece and can be ordered on the gun.

well i have pricing now, time to make a decision.
NZ pricing is better than Aus but thats probably because there is no middle man lining their pocket.

well i think i've made a choice, might tell the dealer exactly what i want and tell him the price i want to pay and see if he can get OSA to come to the part a little as i dont wanna screw my guy out of a profit aswell.

Plan at the moment is a k95 Luxus, with Chamois and Red deer side plates, left handed bavarian stock, old german grip cap with my initials in 7x65r
and an additional barrel in 22h or 222 or 5.6x50r

that comes to just over 12K and im hoping we can get it down a little

Unsure atm if i want a gold triger , case or fance sling or if i should aquire the latter two elsewhere.
