(Brand of bullet) Woodleigh

(Weight of bullet) 600 Grain PPSN

(Brand of brass) Norma

(Type of powder) ADI 2209 / H 4350

(Grains of powder) 120 grains

(Brand, and type of primer) RWS 5333 large rifle Magnum

(COAL) 88mm

(CBTO)

(FPS/MPS) 2276 FPS

(Rifle) Blaser R8

(Barrel Length) 60 cm

(Scope) Doctor 3 red dot with 3.5 moa dot

(Weather conditions & temp) 24c with moderate winds right to left of target.

(Accuracy @ 100 yards/meters) 20 mm at 50 metres.

(Notes) Shot off the bench, recoil getting unpleasant. Probably manageable shooting standing.

Never shot anything like that but it looks pretty damn good off the bench. If it's manageable seated should be fine standing - especially if something big is running at you.... :handgestures-thumbup: Did I read 120gr of powder? :gay-imgay: :lol:

The thing is though it seemed to take a lot longer to recover from the shot compared to the 116 grain load, which was only about 85 FPS slower.
If something big and angry was running towards me I reckon I could do a lot better with the 116 grain, as in quicker with the follow up shot.

Makes sense to shoot what you feel most confident in.... if you reckon you can get back on target more smoothly an extra 4 gr of powder ain't gunna matter to what you're aiming at.

Damn that thing must thump... :shock:
