I've been using the Hornady brass for my 300wm barrel as it was shooting great and the brass was easy to get and not overly expensive. Well your right its over the top now on price for what it is. But to change means re checking all data for that barrel which I don't really shoot a great deal of it these days.Rifletuner wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 5:56 pmMate, I agree. Have preferred Lapua brass for over 20 years. The only other cases I have found in the same League is RWS.deerhunter338mag wrote: ↑Wed Apr 28, 2021 8:08 pm
I think the lap brass is one of the best on the market. My 338lapimp has smashed out over a 1000 rounds off 60 case I fireformed. But I do anneal them and clean them which I think makes a significant difference.
I was more commenting on 338 Lap cases in general. Everyone making brass for the Lap seems to be right up their in price. Even Hornady brass for the 338 Lap is dear as poison.

Little bit of practice today out to 767m with the 338Rum barrel. Very 1st shot was a hit, as that what I’m always after. Then had a few practice shot and then inspected the plate. Dame this barrel is accurate. This group is the size of my hand .

Well the full cycle has finally come today as I picked up my 1st stag that I took with the 338Rum barrel. I'm super happy with the work Adam has done at Northeast taxidermy. Now to have a beer and remember the hunt.

Yeah. I haven't had the opportunity to raid that fridge yet! By the time we're allowed out , that beer will be stale!

I wouldn't worry about that, it gets refilled every now and then.
