Glass Ceiling

Post by Corjack »

Kim Rhode won a bronze medal in skeet yesterday. That makes her the first woman to win medals in six consecutive olympics. I hope she goes for seven in 2020

It's a little different here in Germany, I watched the mens small bore 50 meter competitions yesterday, some here, some there, it seemed to be on every TV I encountered.

Our athletes are doing very well in this Olympics.
It doesn't matter what you shoot as long as you shoot

Just got off the computer after the heartbreaking news that Mairaj, my student, lost out in the tie shoot for the finals. Still, for me, he shot like a champion.
Whatever one may say, luck does play a part in winning

Congrats in order. Making it that far took some serious determination and skill. In short order he'll treasure that competition for the rest of his life.

The other Danish guy, Marcus Svenson, ended up with the Silver.

These Olympics brought so many memories to me. There was Rashidi, probably one of the world's greatest skeet shooters, who at this age , made it to the 4th position. He and I had shot together for so many years.
There was Hancock, USA, he was just a kid when he took his first gold at Belgrade shooting with me , . . .

Great times, but one must accept it's over. ;)
