Peregrine Bushmaster in the 9.3x74R

Post by Vaughan »

Have been interested in trying 250gr Bushmaster bullets for a couple of years and finally managed to get a few boxes from a kind fellow in Norway who seems to be their new distributor.

Loaded them up using Norma URP

64gr, 64.5 and 65gr all shot pretty well. By my calcs using Quickload and my measured case volumes, 64.5gr of URP is near max pressure, so I settled there.

Went back and tried both bbls today. Last season they were regulated for 250gr Lapua Naturalis, so I was hopeful I would not have too much to do, but wasn't too confident.

Shot this (I don't know why it seems to be rotated counter-clockwise). Both shots form the bottom bbl are there in the blue......

I'll chrony the load to be sure it is travelling OK - but I think I'm done. :obscene-smokingjoint:

Given the average age of most moose hunters in Sweden, I'm thinking it will thin the hunting ranks quite a bit and leave more moose for those of us left. Not that I want to sound like a selfish shite :D
