Hi, a new member from Germany
Dear All,
I'm happy that I can now be part of the community! I live in Germany and have been a Blaser fan for 30 years. I am a hunter and reloader. For hunting and at the shooting range, I carry my Blaser R8, the K95 single shot-rifle or an older Blaser over-and-under rifle with a plug-in barrel in .22 Hornet.
For both, the K95 and the R8, I have several interchangeable barrels from the .22 Hornet caliber to the 9.3x63.
What I appreciate about Blaser weapons, is the very good workmanship, the ability to change barrels or quickly “take down” and the safety that the weapons offer.
But I also love tradition, especially the most famous and robust Mauser weapons with the System 98. Here I shoot a .375 Holland & Holland Magnum and the classic 7x57 Mauser.
I look forward to discussions and the opportunity to learn something.
All the best,

Thanks for joining in. Sounds like you can provide input on Blasers and hunting in Germany. Would be interested in knowing about your area. I have hunted in Hesse-Forest near Frankenberg and have relatives in Rengershausen..

Re: Hi, a new member from Germany
Welcome,
I live near Kaiserslautern in Rheinland Pfalz. Still looking for a house, so I don't know where I live. Been back in Germany 3 weeks.
I have not been using Blaser rifles for 30 years, but I have been using them since 2000. Hunting license since I was 14 in America, and since 2017 in Germany.
