An update -

My “custom” order K95 ultimate Leather still isn’t in my hands, 2.5 years after ordering. I inquired with Blaser USA and found out it’ll be another 100-200 days to get it. I canceled my order. What a joke.

That’s terrible news. I’ve never understood how companies could push away people standing in line to give them money.

Yeah I don’t get it either. This isn’t a Blaser custom shop order. I didn’t fly anywhere to have it fitted to me. It was simply a K95 ultimate leather with DLC block and trigger, and 20” threaded barrel with sights. I should have got it within a year.

That's why I just ordered a new Suzuki Jimny XL.

After being a Blaser owner for the last 15 or 20 years, it just doesn't feel right any more ordering something new and not waiting a ridiculous amount of for it to arrive after over paying an already ridiculously inflated price for it.

Haha touché Speedy.

I ended up buying an off the shelf K95 ultimate leather instead.

My original order was :

K95 ultimate leather
DLC block and trigger
Threaded 20” 308 barrel with sights.

Ended up with

K95 ultimate leather
Regular block and trigger
Threaded 24” 308 barrel, no sights.

Not quite what I wanted but close enough, it was in stock and I saved a couple thousand dollars.

You can cut the barrel and re thread it and have it almost the way you want it.
Bit of an extra expense for 4" less barrel, but it's not too expensive to do.
Really depends on how badly you want a shorter barrel

You may (or may not) be pleasantly surprised. My shorty was ordered in July 2023 and delivered in December 2023. Apparently being white (the car  ) and manual helped.

I just found out mine came in two weeks, but they forgot to tell me, so it's going to be here next week.
4 week wait time, reminds me of the time I ordered my 22 hornet barrel for the K95, I got a random phone call 6 months later that it had arrived in the shop.
I was expecting closer to 12 months.

You may notice your front sight when the scope is at low power but above 4 or so, I don't think you'll see it.

I do notice that, the same when I shoot with a torch on the scope, I get a lot of light coming back at the scope off of the sights.
On the hornet barrel no problems, but the sights on the 30/06 make it a bit challenging at a distance sometimes.
