DocHolyroods Birthday
I would like to wish DocHolyrood a happy birthday and many more. I also would like to wish that a Blaser BBF97 be in your future.

The recent purchase of my first R93 Luxus in 30-06 was my present to myself. I usualy only spend that much on the turn of a decade, such as 30, 40, 50, but this year I got the bug.

A second present to myself was knee surgury yesterday. Nothing too serious, but I have to be on crutches for 30 days. So if you don't hear from me much over the next week or so, that's probably the reason. The good news is I have the sweetest wife and she is being very attentive, as usual. Again, get-well wishes are not necessary, but presents would be nice.

Re: DocHolyroods Birthday
My plan was to limit myself to 3 barrels. I bought the Luxus in an '06 because I thought I would get the most use out of that caliber. I thought I would later buy a magnum barrel and bolt face. For the third barrel I like the 6.5-284, but I also like the idea of a 308 in 20" barrel with sights. However, the 308 is too close to the '06 for me to be gaining much. Of course a 22-250 might be nice too.
My latest thought is that I should buy a Professional in 308 20" barrel and leave it in Kansas this Christmas when I go coyote hunting with my dad, that way he could play with it for awhile.
Now the BBF 97 conversation has popped up and I'm all confused. If I showed up with a BBF 97 my dad would smile at me in that all knowing way that dad's can smile. But I bet he would love it when calling in coyotes!

retrieverman is correct, no cure, only a little "medicine" now and then, seems to help.
Wonder if my health insurance would cover it. Would not take long to meet the deductable.
