Air rifle Jig

Post by deerhunter338mag »

I made this Jig to put the air rifle barrel and piston and spring section in. I had to cut the G clamp so it lined up with the air rifles main spring. It worked very well no fuss and much safer than trying to push it down by hand and risk losing and eye or something

Good stuff. I make all kinds of stuff to make things easier. Why do it the hard way when there's an easy way? Or lazy way....

BTW did you ever make one of Olsen's shooting sticks? I'd sure like to give it a whirl. Looks like it would be a pretty good tool. Showed the pics to my guide buddy the other day and he's interested too. He hunts the mountains in NM and isn't real pleased with the commercially available ones here. I like having two places to help steady the rifle.

Smart ass Olsen made it yesterday in about an hr work very well no fuss. As it happen I do have something like Olsen shooting stick but it more for sighting your rifle in but you can use it why driving around spotlighting. I post some photos tomorrow of it and how it works.
