(Notes)
This is my current hunting load in my R8. I originally developed it for my former Tikka CTR in the same caliber, so when I got my new Blaser I backed off a bit and did a proper ladder test and ended up with the same values. This bullet hits hard and I get the same excellent accuracy as with Lapua Scenar 123 gr. Highly recommended combination, perhaps especially for those in Europe who have a hard time finding US components currently. I have killed large European boar with these bullets (all dead-right-there kills with shoulder shots) and will likely use them for moose hunting this season. These bullets also expand well down to quite low impact velocities, making them good for both short range work (driven hunt) and long range stalking.
