German in Canada

Post by Corjack »

I am visiting Ottawa Canada. Found a neat restaurant called Central Bierhaus. It is about a mile away from my hotel. The waiter gave me stack of nice coasters to take home. The sauerkraut was just like I prefer it, with a few caraway seeds. The spätzle was good, but a bit weird in a kinda cream sauce. The jaeger snitzle was very good, and ultra traditional. I will hit it again before I leave, as the waiter said the short ribs was the local favourite.

Went there again tonight. I had overlooked the pork knuckle on the menu. So I ordered it. Was really good. Could not eat it all.

I've been trying to transfer completely to a new diet, called the beer diet.
I just have to keep gradually phasing out the solid food and equally increase the liquids

Apparently from what the locals say, the perennial favorite is a stripper drizzled with maple syrup, that can do unusual tricks with a hockey puck. I do not speak from experience, just what I am being told.
