What Happened to Dinsdale ?
Anyone know what happened to Dinsdale ?
I sent him a PM almost three weeks back and he has not yet opened his mail, nor has he made any posts.
Last we knew he was snowed in on the Catskills Mountains and was without electricity.
Snow would have melted by now ?
HEY DINSDALE, WHERE ARE YOU BUDDY !!

The snow had subsided and he was out and about. I've been wondering the same thing. I kind of figured he might have gotten a job out of town and was trying to make a few bucks... But it's been a while. Hope he's ok...

Measure it, when it’s on the deck

Been looking for work....and still looking. Never thought I'd be at a point where I couldn't land a job; even if just pushing a broom somewhere.
Guess I need a different skill set for today's world.
Glad I have no mortgage or family, got to be tough for those who do and have to support them. But I had a pretty good run for a while, just need to scale back some til things turn around. Sold all but my old 870;20 ga. shotgun, good fun while it lasted anyway......and better memories too.

Re: What Happened to Dinsdale ?
Sorry to hear it's that tough up there. On the other hand a whole mess of us was quite worried something had happened to you. We was fixing to call in a missing person report! I thought you might have gotten a job out of town. I'd invite ya down here to look for work but sadly the results would probably be the same. We're still better off than some places and still a lot of folks out of work. I'm quite sure though that I'm speaking for more than a few around here who are very glad to hear from you!dinsdale wrote: Always a comedian in every group.....![]()

Re: What Happened to Dinsdale ?
Thanks for the thought...
...just a tough time to be a tradesman in most places...
The bigger guys around here are lowballing bids to keep cash flow going....hard to cover expenses let alone make a decent wage bidding against them....
I know guys working for wages I started at 20 years ago as a carpenter....
Then everyone with a hammer and a tape measure becomes a carpenter when the economy gets down...just this time I got caught in a tight place when several big customers of mine left the state due to the taxes here.I have a few small projects to pay the bills and it only takes one good one to get me back on top and having some fun.
I can't complain too much...where else can a kid of working class parents end up hunting Africa a couple of times with a really cool gun?

I hate to hear about your work situation, and it is tough to be self employed in this economy.

Good points, I hear about the tax situation all the way down here. Ya'll have lost a lot of 'money' and looks like a lot more is going to leave. What the government doesn't realize is they're losing this money and going to have to raise taxes again to keep their trough filled with gold which will in turn run off even more people. Our government has gone completely nuts and some of the states jumped right off the cliff following them. God forbid that the government would learn how to live with less!
Hated to hear that you had to part with your 93. Hopefully things will turn around for you soon.
