Had a couple of runs out of it now, here's the good and the bad.
The good.
1) simple to use.
2) easy to clean.
3) easy to operate, no complicated connections needed.
4) fits anywhere.
5) it's solid, this thing will out live me with no electrical system to mess up.
6) you can use it to make its own fuel or run it on cheap methylated spirits.
7) makes really good smooth whiskey.
The bad.
1) easy to clean, but if you want it looking polished all the time, you will probably have polish it every week.
2) the worm is a bit low, you have to keep catching your spirit in a short glass.
Doesn't really make enough to check the ABV as you run, so I check it with the spoon test. (ask if anyone wants to know that old school way)
3) the big drawback, it takes 3-4 refills of the fuel burner to complete a run. I'm switching to a hiking gas stove, but you have to get one that will fit under it.
